Luke Walton

Luke Theodore Walton (born March 28, 1980) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played 10 seasons as a forward in the NBA, winning two NBA championships. He won a title with the Golden State Warriors as an assistant coach, also was the head coach for the Lakers from 2016 through 2019.
Walton and the Arizona Wildcats played college basketball. He had been a second-team All-American and also a two-time selection in the Pac-10. The Lakers selected in the next round of the 2003 NBA draft him. After the 2010 NBA Finals, Hall of Famer Bill Walton, Walton along with his father, became the first father and son to have Bill won in 1986 and 1977 won several NBA championships, and Luke in 2009 and 2010. His best season mathematically was 2006–07 with over 11 points, 5 rebounds, and over 4 assists per match.
Since the Warriors’ head coach in 2015–16, he directed the group to the winning streak to open a year in league history.
